Stato-Sonde Z6H

 

The Stato-Sonde Z6H is a Hot Metal Detector for steel at temperatures over 320 °C. Its fibre optics allows detection in areas with physical obstructions, space limitations etc. even in areas of high temperature.

Presentation

The Stato-Sonde Z6H is a self-contained sensor, complete with :

  • A metal-jacketed fibre optics cable (with optional lenses)
  • A cast aluminium housing containing the complete electronic assembly, power supply, photosensitive element and amplifier with transistor, relay or opto solid state relay output.

Operating principle

The infrared radiation of the hot product is focused by a lens, then collected by the fibre optics cable and transmitted to the photosensitive element. The photocell signal is processed by the electronic circuit which outputs the detection signal.
The sensor field of view is determined by the lens assembly mounted on the fibre optics cable.
